Bits of Spring

Wishing for Spring just puts a smile on your face. Adding a few seasonal touches to your home evokes those happy feelings, even on the dreary days.

Here in the Midwest, we are aware that Winter can linger well into April so I love having small pieces of hope when I look around my house.

Featured are a few simple décor items I currently have placed in various spaces.

A large glass vase with 2 bunches of neutral magnolias. Any large faux stems of your choice would look beautiful as well. Great sources for large faux stems are Hobby Lobby, Pottery Barn and Crate & Barrel.

An arrangement with a tiny bird nest is a welcoming sign of what’s to come.

These painted vases have a home on my island year round. I just change the filler. These faux crab apple stems are available on Amazon in a 3 pack per package and really make a statement.

Lastly, an easy dough bowl filled with moss can be the base of many arrangements for all seasons. I placed this small topiary tree in it but you can fill it with decorative spheres, beads, birds nests. If you want to break up the bowl from the surface, just add a simple folded towel. Most of these items I found at Hobby Lobby, including the towel. Everything is turned over in their store to Spring and Easter making it a fun time to shop.
